Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

 The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), envisages Community Support to TB patients for effective engagement of the community in the path towards ending TB in India. Ni-kshay Mitra (Donor) for this program include co-operative societies, corporates, elected representatives, individuals, institutions, non-governmental organizations, political parties and partners who can support by adopting health facilities (for individual donor), blocks/urban wards/districts/states for accelerating response against TB to complement government efforts, as per the district-specific requirements in coordination with the district administration.

As per instructions received from IGNOU Headquarters, awareness activities were organized by the Regional Centre. As a part of awareness activity, Regional Centre staff carried a small rally in the area of village Sunderwala and Mangluwala, near Tapovan Dehradun. During the rally households and shopkeepers were visited. Message regarding Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Tuberculosis Free India) was shared with them. The villagers were also informed that if there is any TB patient in the village, s/he should immediately report about it to the nearby government hospital so that they may avail benefits offered through Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
